·         Requirement 1: Use your official WilmU Zoom account (not a personal account). To do this, click Zoom on a Canvas course menu or login directly at this link:  https://wilmu.zoom.us/

·         Requirement 2: Verify you are using the most up to date version. If it’s not up-to-date, put in a help desk ticket to have them update your Zoom desktop app to the latest version.

·         Requirement 3: Verify you are using the Zoom desktop app. Do not use the web browser version, since it does not have all of the same features.

Zoom Tech Tip #4: Additional Tips for Effective Zoom Meetings

•       Make sure you are in a quiet area and remember to mute your microphone when you’re not speaking.

•       A reliable, high-speed Internet connection is necessary to use Zoom. The most common reasons a Zoom session would fail is because of connectivity issues or a slow Internet connection. The bandwidth requirements for Zoom is 2.0 Mbps up and down for single screen.

•       Consider turning off your Skype or changing your status to “Do not disturb”. Otherwise, can still receive phone calls during a Zoom meeting.

•       If you’re experiencing slow Internet speeds, try shutting down your VPN while in Zoom.

•       Modems and Wi-Fi routers will become less effective, after a few years. If your Internet network speed is not very strong, consider upgrading your modern and router.
