About the Presenter:
Dr. Kathryn Leach, Assistant Chair of the RN to BSN Program
Dr. Kathryn Leach serves as Assistant Chair of the RN to BSN Program within Wilmington University’s College of Health Professions. After earning her associate’s and bachelor’s degree in nursing from Marymount University, Dr. Leach obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the Catholic University of America in DC and achieved board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She attained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilmington University, publishing her evidence-based project entitled, Development and Evaluation of a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Directed Telemedicine Program to Improve Care Coordination Among Medically Complex Children. Concurrent to her academic role, Dr. Leach serves in a consult role for the Integrated Care Service of complex care patients and medically fragile children with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Leach’s clinical expertise extends to emergency medicine, general pediatrics, endocrinology, population health, and staff development and education.
