Presented by Reverend Dr. Robin Weinstein,
Session Description: This breakout session proposes a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of faith and social justice. The session will focus on how our actions can inform our theology and our theology can inform our efforts. Dr. Robin Weinstein, a small church pastor and professor in the
Wilmington University College of Business, will share his journey in creating a nonprofit called the M25 Initiative that assists the homeless population in southern New Jersey. During the session, Dr. Weinstein will discuss how faith can drive our pursuit of social justice. He will share his experience creating the M25 Initiative and how faith informed, inspired, and sustained his efforts. The session will also focus on how faith can be integrated with reason to address social justice issues holistically.
Additionally, the breakout session will include some of the potential “landmines” of the intersection of faith and social justice pursuits. Participants will be able to engage in meaningful dialogue, explore the
integration of faith and reason in social justice, and connect with others passionate about making a difference in the world. This session is open to all individuals interested in exploring the intersection of faith and social justice.
